#Ftb obscurity mod
Features heavy usage of the mod Compact Machines by Davenonymous.Bug reports made directly to Mod Authors should state Fastcraft is enabled. Fastcraft enhances Minecraft with increased performance. This pack contains Fastcraft, by Player, enabled by default. Good luck, the world's survival lies within your hands. So what are you waiting for? Enter Obscurity and begin the journey to defeat the darkness and evil undead within the shadows. Created for Jampacked II, this lightweight, highly configured and aesthetically pleasing pack introduces a new level of survival where the darkness is the enemy and light is key to your survival. Obscurity is the first modification package by SnowShock & JohnnyMobbins. There’s no turning back, you must save the world as time is running out. You are now the only one who can save us all. Although our intention was to save the Earth it seems it may now be trapped. A group of highly trained physicists have been working on something new and very dangerous. People have begun to worry about what will be left for the future. * This is probably an oversimplification and probably not 100% accurate, but it's roughly how it works to my knowledge (feel free to correct me).Earth has begun to feel the effects of man’s hunger for resources and ruthless destruction of the environment. Thanks for all the wonderful and kind support with Obscurity over the years. Please be patient with me as I do have a lot of coursework and a dissertation/thesis to work on as well. I am also considering other platforms to distribute it on too so it's more accessible to players as I know not everyone likes the Twitch App or can't use it because of their lacking support for Linux. I realise now that it was a poor decision as instead of messages about why it wasn't working I ended up with numerous delightful direct messages, tweets and Reddit posts about it disappearing - which if you think about it is somewhat fitting given its name.Īnyways, as I've now made a return from a long hiatus I intend to fix the issue and redeploy Obscurity to CurseForge.
#Ftb obscurity mods
Nevertheless, one of the mods Obscurity was using was removed from CurseForge which then caused this problem and since at the time updating it required me to write a mod to replace the one now missing I decided to pull the downloads rather than have 300 messages about failed installations in my inbox. However, if one of those mods gets removed from CurseForge the App almost instantly gives up and presents the user with a failed installation error rather than continuing the installation then prompting the user at the end very poor interesting design choice if you ask me.
#Ftb obscurity install
This file contains all the information the app needs to download and install the mods required for the modpack.* But before I can say why I need to explain how the Twitch App works with modpacks.įor those unfamiliar with how the Twitch App and CurseForge work, when you click install on a modpack it downloads a small zipped file to your computer, it then extracts this zip and looks for a manifest.json file. So why am I here you ask? Well, over the past year and a bit I've been on a hiatus and sometime during this, I took Obscurity off of CurseForge. This is down to the fact that I'm not a huge fan of the platform although since its redesign it's more tolerable. I haven't visited Reddit much since creating my account.
